When you choose to purchase a poodle with us!
We want to make your experience of choosing your next furry family member as easy as possible.
Often we find that families are ready to adopt before our litters are born. If this is the case and you are wanting to hold your puppy from our next litter you are able to make a non-refundable deposit that will go towards the balance of your new pup. When you make this deposit a reservation is placed on your choice of a poodle.

Steps to adopting with Simply Standard Poodles.
Step 1: Decide you want to adopt a standard poodle.
Step 2: If the puppies are not born yet but you are sure you want to hold a puppy from the next available litter you may make a non-refundable deposit that goes toward the cost of your pup. Below is a copy of our holding agreement. (Reservation order will dictate who gets to choose first from the current and subsequent litters).
Step 3: If our puppies are already born, call us to schedule a consultation with me and/or plan a zoom call with our puppies in action. (We will also post pictures and videos online on our website or Facebook page.)
Step 4: Fill out our Adoption Questionnaire. (This will help us to better get to know you and your family as we match you with your perfect pup.) We perform the Volhard's Puppy Aptitude Test on all of our puppies at 49 days old which helps us to better match them to our families. With our experience as a dog obedience trainer, instructor, and our ongoing training for the breed with the AKC, we have a tremendous amount of knowledge to help make sure we fit the right puppy with your right family.
Step 5: Schedule a consultation and or zoom call with us. We will share our recommendation of the best-suited puppy for you and your family based on your questionnaire and our assessments of each of the puppies and their personalities. If you prefer to choose yourself we make that option available to you as well.
Step 6: Place a Deposit to hold your favorite pup. If you have not done so already you may place a hold on the puppy of your choice. There would be a $500.00 non-refundable deposit that will go towards the purchase of your puppy.
Step 7: Adoption day! We will either meet with you or you are able to visit us. We can complete the adoption contract on the puppy you decide to go forward with and we send you home with tons of resources including a puppy kit, and of course your new best friend.
Step 8: Following Up With You. Remember we are always here for you after your adoption. If you have questions about your pup please feel free to contact us. We are always available to you! We would love to hear how you and our little one is doing. Pictures are always a plus and updates on how they are growing are always special. If you choose to decide to adopt again we hope you choose Simply Standard Poodles because once you have one, it's hard not to want more.
