Lead Professional Pet Stylist
Location: Charleston, South Carolina

Job Description
We are looking for a friendly pet groomer/stylist to perform all grooming-related duties necessary to ensure that pets are neat, clean, and look their best. Experience with grooming, clipping, and bathing poodles is a must.
The pet groomer’s responsibilities include bathing animals of various sizes and temperaments, trimming, clipping, or shaving hair/fur, and removing matted hair. You should also be able to ensure that grooming tools and equipment are in good working condition.
To be successful as a pet groomer, you should be able to comply with pet owners' instructions as well as accommodate any special requests that they may have. Ultimately, a top-notch Pet Groomer will treat all animals with the utmost love and care.
Pet Groomer Responsibilities:

Dematting and detangling hair as required.

Bathing, conditioning, and drying pets.

Trimming pets’ nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears.

Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.

Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have.

Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations.

Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process.

Routinely cleaning work areas.

Recommending suitable products to pet owners.

Should be able to style anywhere from 2-4 pets in a five-hour shift.
Pet Groomer Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Certification through the National Dog Groomer Association of America is advantageous.

Proven professional grooming experience.

Sound understanding of animal behavior.

The ability to stand for long periods of time.

The ability to treat all animals with compassion.

The ability to lift heavy pets and equipment.

Excellent communication skills.

Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced dog trainer to conduct one-on-one and group training sessions with clients' dogs. The dog trainer's responsibilities include evaluating dogs' dispositions and temperaments, providing regular progress updates to clients, and teaching clients how to reinforce good behavior. You should also be able to answer clients' questions regarding training, behavioral issues, boarding, and pricing.
To be successful as a dog trainer, you should be patient and passionate about training dogs. Ultimately, an exceptional Dog Trainer should have sound knowledge of various dog training techniques and demonstrate excellent communication, dog handling, and problem-solving skills.
Dog Trainer Responsibilities:

Consulting with clients to discuss behavioral concerns and training needs.

Identifying additional behavioral concerns and communicating them to clients.

Developing suitable training plans for dogs and documenting their progress.

Teaching dogs to obey basic commands using various training techniques that are best suited to each dog’s personality and attributes.

Implementing appropriate training programs to address and resolve problem areas, including aggression, separation anxiety, hyperactivity, and biting.

Ensuring that the training areas are clean and tidy.

Teaching clients appropriate training methods to enforce and maintain behaviors and skills learned by their dogs during training sessions.

Contacting clients to schedule training appointments, verify bookings, and inquire into overdue payments.
Dog Trainer Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.
-
Certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) is advantageous.

Sound knowledge of dog training techniques as well as animal behavior and body language.

Proven experience working as a dog trainer.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
